Child Care of Southwest Florida raised $2,940 during its online fundraiser held in celebration of National Preschoolers Day on March 14, supporting local families in need at its six early learning centers in Lee and Hendry counties.
The fundraiser offered various levels of giving and sponsorship opportunities for local businesses, organizations and community members through March 31, linked to National Preschoolers Day to emphasize the first and most crucial stage of education for children ages three to five. The funds raised will help unlock educational opportunities for local children to access tuition scholarships, enrich curriculum lessons and enhance classroom settings.
“Quality early learning is essential for our children’s development and future success,” said Chris Hansen, CEO of Child Care of Southwest Florida. “With the support received from this fundraiser, we can help more families access high quality programs their children deserve.”
As a nonprofit, Child Care of Southwest Florida partners with local charitable foundations, businesses and donors to offer partial and full scholarships to assist low-income families in paying for tuition. This support allows parents to focus on their work while ensuring their children receive a high-quality education, empowering children for a lifetime of success.
With over 350 children aged six weeks to eight years old enrolled, Child Care of Southwest Florida follows the nationally recognized, research-based Creative Curriculum at its six learning centers in Lee and Hendry counties. Each center is accredited through the National Accreditation Commission for Early Learning Leaders and is recognized as a Gold Seal Quality Care Program through the Florida Department of Children and Families. Additionally, through its participation in the USDA’s Child Food Care Program, every child has access to healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks.
