Child Care of Southwest Florida has received a $1,000 grant from the Lee County Bar Association Foundation to support its learning centers in Lee and Hendry counties.
The grant will support the organization’s needs-based tuition scholarships for local families, empowering at-risk children with affordable, high-quality early learning opportunities at its six locations.
“We truly appreciate the wonderful support from organizations like the Lee County Bar Association Foundation, which values the essential role that high-quality early childhood education plays in our community,” said Chris Hansen, CEO of Child Care of Southwest Florida.
The mission of the Lee County Bar Association Foundation is to promote provision of legal aid to the indigent, support and participate in charitable endeavors benefiting youth and/or benefiting the underprivileged population, encourage and promote education and community awareness of the law and provide for the establishment of scholarships. To date, the Foundation has provided over $200,000 in grants to area charitable organizations and causes.
As a nonprofit, Child Care of Southwest Florida partners with local charitable foundations and businesses to offer high-quality early learning programs at a reduced rate in Lee and Hendry counties. The organization offers partial and full scholarships to assist low-income families in paying for tuition, empowering children for a lifetime of success. Donations to the scholarship program allow parents to focus on work and provide for their families while their children receive a quality early childhood education.
